The Senior IT Network Administrator is responsible for providing onsite and remote support for all networking, switching, telephony, and firewall operations for the company. This highly skilled individual will assist in maintenance of all Network, Telephony and Firewall systems, applications and configurations. Individual will be responsible with overseeing and managing components within Network infrastructure working with IT Manager or above within IT Systems. This person should be initiative-taking and have excellent personality and customer service skills.



What You’ll Do: 

  1. Analyze, isolate, and resolve network problems. This includes but is not limited to technical, procedural, operational, and functional issues. Assist all troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and telephony equipment.
  2. Network and technical lead on setups for all events within SSE organization including but not limited to Spurs, Frost Bank Center, Toyota Field, SAFC, and concerts.
  3. Maintain and manage telephony, networking, and firewall for organization.
  4. Create, update, and close all assigned tickets in IT ticketing software promptly and with high levels of customer satisfaction.  Work with the IT team to ensure efficient operation of company’s technology environment.
  5. Adjust hardware and software to optimize network performance and functionality and administer network security; troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and software
  6. Conduct research on networking products and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend products for purchase.
  7. Monitor and optimize network and firewall performance and functionality and administer network security; troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and software.
  8. Assist in preparing, maintaining and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations


Who You Are
: 

  • Associate degree in field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ Years Cisco/Dell/HPE Switching/networking environment
  • 3+ Years managing firewalls
  • 3+ Years Telephony experience
  • Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP preferred)
  • Firewall Management Certifications (Cisco/Palo Alto)
  • Troubleshooting / analytical / decision making skills
  • WAN/Voice/Security/Remote Access Troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service attitude
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
  • Ability to operate tools, components, peripheral accessories, and research into networking issues 
  • Demonstrated "real world" Cisco network environment support.
  • Basic knowledge of IPTV Systems.
  • Cisco networking (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
  • Wireless Access Point configuration.
  • Troubleshooting / analytical / decision making skills.
  • WAN/Voice/Security/Remote Access Troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate tools, components, peripheral accessories, and research into video system and data system issues.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to explain complex solutions to problems to non-technical users
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
  • Adhere to company guidelines related to attendance, computer usage, etc.
