FLSA Status: Exempt 
Pay Range: $60,000-80,000 
Reports To: Director of Marketing Operations 
 
Position Summary  
The Data and Analytics Manager is responsible for the continued modernization of USA Triathlon's culture with respect to data, reporting, automation and evolution of predictive modeling and data-driven decision making for the organization. This person works cross-functionally to deliver powerful insights that propel the organization forward. 
 
Essential Job Functions 
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. 
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that inform key business decisions. 
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with key leaders on test/learn and campaign initiatives to continue to evolve our business and marketing sophistication forward. 
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables through development of comprehensive policies and processes. 
  • Develop and analyze forecasting models to determine probable outcomes for all areas of the business including finance, membership, owned events, sanctioned events, marketing ROI, member retention. 
  • Oversee the data and reporting request process: track requests submitted, approve or deny requests, prioritize requests, etc. 
  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within USAT. Design and implement solutions to meet these needs, including but not limited to defining data schema, creating dynamic dashboards and a library of reusable queries. 
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting and reconciling data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. 
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units. 
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. 
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. 
  • Excellent collaboration and delegation skills. 

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in sport analytics, business analytics, or related field required 
  • 2-4 years’ experience with Salesforce suite including CRM, Tableau, Marketing Cloud, and other BI toolsets required  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in business intelligence, data, analytics preferred 
  • Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes 
  • Leadership experience preferred 
  • Applicable multisport experience preferred 
     
Other 
  • Up to 5% travel may be necessary to be successful in this role 
  • Some weekend work, as needed  
  • This role is open to a hybrid work schedule, in-person in our offices in Colorado Springs from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on  Tues/Wed/Thurs with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
