FLSA Status: Non-Exempt or Exempt (dependent on starting salary and level of hire)
Pay Range: $53,000 – 65,000 annually (if non-exempt, $25.48 - $26.44 hourly)

Position Summary 
The Membership Growth Manager plays an integral leadership role in ensuring the organization’s mission to grow and serve the sport.  This role develops and facilitates programs, and key growth strategies and tactics for USA Triathlon’s 300,000 + membership constituent group. This position is essential to achieving USA Triathlon’s strategic priority to grow the sport.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Under the direction of the Senior Director, manages growth planning efforts to deliver on USA Triathlon’s long term membership strategy including research, planning, budgeting, collaboration, and presentation. Identifies and defines a data-driven growth plan for new, existing, and lapsed members focused on increasing revenue and constituent base.
  • Collaborates with organizational and team leadership on data-driven product and/or pricing change recommendations to membership types.
  • Analyzes effectiveness of membership campaigns and product purchases, ensuring organization meets or exceeds revenue and purchase expectations.
  • Leads market analysis to identify new growth leads and opportunities for member acquisition; Identifies new and creative ways to growing all constituent groups.
  • Establishes strong relationships across the organization, especially in service and programs, to ensure alignment and consensus around growth initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the service team to develop and implement retention strategies and tactics
  • Collaborates and coordinates with Marketing and Communications to reach and connect with new customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software/digital functionality such as database management, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and social media.
  • Extremely personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak and present in front of both small and large groups.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment including effective coordination with members of other departments.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, customer experience or sport management; or a combination of experience and education that yields the necessary competencies.
  • 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and data analysis tools like Salesforce.
  • Prefer 3-5 years related work experience in business or sport management.
  • Prefer experience within, or knowledge of, the multisport or endurance industries.

Other
  • This position may require limited non-traditional work hours including evenings, weekends, and some holidays related to USA Triathlon event attendance.
