This is an unpaid internship and to participate you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to receive course credit for your participation. There may be additional event opportunities for paid hours. Work will be both remote & in-person (Irvine, California)
Work Schedule: Between 10-20 hours per week, occasional weekend events
Flexible Start Date: December/January
Candidate should possess:
- Ability to help with event-related tasks; occasionally physical or laborious
- Team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to effectively meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organization/multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Google Drive, Adobe)
- Ability to be a self-starter--proactive and flexible
- Own transportation & living arrangements for the location hired
- Water Polo Knowledge is preferred but not required
- Experience in customer service is a plus
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support the Events Department with various on-site projects
- Assist with inquiries regarding USAWP programs, services, and online support
- Assist with on-site event set up and tear-down for events
- Help with in-office preparation for events
- Administrative duties (filing, organizing, copying, data entry, etc.)

- Dare to Dream, San Diego, CA - January 17 - 19, 2025
- National League Weekend, Southern California - February, 2025
- National League Weekend, Southern California - March, 2025
- National League Championship, Walnut, CA - April 25 - 27, 2025
- Men’s Senior Nationals, San Diego, CA - May 16-18, 2025
* Background in membership, non-profit work, sports administration & communications a plus!
