 Albany FireWolves Game Operations Internship (Fall 2024 | Spring 2025)
The Albany FireWolves are a proud member of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), playing out of MVP Arena in Albany, NY throughout the winter and spring of 2024-25. This professional box lacrosse team offers opportunities to current college-level students looking to gain real-world gameday presentation and operations experience, understand the intricacies of live event production, and position themselves for a successful career upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide practical experience, significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements and hands-on opportunities for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence. This internship is available for full- or part-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit for the fall or spring internship season and the 2024-25 NLL season.
 
The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2024-25 Game Operations Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, capable of proactive problem solving, and a critical thinker. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for assisting the gameday production team throughout the course of the season.
 
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of in-game promotions, halftime shows, and interactive activities encompassing fan engagement.
  • Assist in crowd management and guest services to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for fans.
  • Contribute to the setup and breakdown of game day materials, including signage, promotional assets, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all game day operations run smoothly.
  • Help manage the logistics of in-game promotions and contests.
  • Direct in-game entertainment features and personnel, including national anthem performances, halftime shows, and special guest appearances.
  • Assist with the timing and execution of in-game elements such as music cues, player introductions, and sponsor activations.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Must be available to work ALL Albany FireWolves home games throughout the season, which includes nights and weekends, beginning up to 5 hours prior to game-time
  • Present yourself in a professional manner in both appearance and behavior 
  • Have a positive attitude and be proactive in identifying operational challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and playoff games as necessary.
  • Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports industry.
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and production is a plus.
