Albany FireWolves Sales and Partnerships Internship (Fall 2024 | Spring 2025) 
The Albany FireWolves are a proud member of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), playing out of MVP Arena in Albany, NY throughout the winter and spring of 2024-25. This professional box lacrosse team offers opportunities to current college-level students looking to gain real-world ticket sales and sponsorship experience, and position themselves for a successful career upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide practical experience, significant challenges, varying daily sales requirements and hands-on opportunities for inventiveness, resourcefulness, and excellence. This internship is available for full- or part-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit for the fall or spring internship season and the 2024-25 NLL season. 
 
The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2024-25 Sales and Partnerships Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, self-motivated, customer oriented, and capable of being adaptable in a fast-paced environment. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for assisting the ticket and corporate sales teams throughout the course of the season. 
 
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to book sponsorship meetings with prospects and to promote season, group, and single game tickets. 
  • Assist the sales department in day-to-day operations, prospecting, and fulfillment. 
  • Assist in pre-season, in-season, post-season, and game day activations revolving around the delivery of NLL ticket experience deliverables and sponsor fulfillment. 
  • Ensure customer and client data is accurate and detailed in CRM system. 
  • Assist with game day responsibilities of the sales department. 
  • Attend multiple events to network, generate sales leads, promote the team, and sell tickets to home games. 
  • Assist with the organization and execution of sponsorship assets. 
  • Support the creation of sponsorship decks and proposals tailored to prospects. 
  • Assist in managing the sales pipeline and tracking progress toward sales goals. 
  • Gather and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of sponsorships and partnerships. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field. 
  • Must be available to work ALL Albany FireWolves home games within your interning semester, which includes nights and weekends, beginning up to 5 hours prior to game-time 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. 
  • Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports industry. 
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.
