Position/Title: CCFC Academy Marketing & Media Intern 

Under the Direction: Chief Marketing Officer

Compensation: College Credit required - This position is non-paid

Position Overview:

Carolina Core FC Academy (U13, U14) is a fully-funded academy participating in MLS NEXT, beginning play in Fall 2024, based in High Point, NC. Our Academy Marketing & Media Intern will assist with helping to develop the CCFC Academy media plan and is responsible for maintaining the brand’s mission through written communication and social media copy. In the best interest of personal and professional growth, interns will learn how to create and execute marketing campaigns, connect with through tailored posts, and collaborate with our marketing department on various marketing efforts.   Additional responsibilities may include events within 40 miles of CCFC Headquarters.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the creation of social content, marketing materials, and various media posts
  • Support planning and organizing various marketing campaigns both internally and as a conduit between CCFC Academy partners
  • Create, proof, and edit content for CCFC Academy social content and press releases
  • Update and maintain the CCFC Academy website with relevant and accurate information
  • Assist in the management of the CCFC Academy social media calendar
  • Additional duties may be assigned that are not listed above but are included in the scope of this role

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of soccer is a plus, but not required
  • Bilingual is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading skills and a strong ability to communicate both orally and written
