The Operations Specialist works directly with the Operations Team to assist with event and stadium operations of all Sporting KC venues and spaces. The Operations Specialist helps ensure all events are executed flawlessly by assisting the Operations Team in ensuring that Sporting KC facilities and fields are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Position Description
The Operations Specialist works directly with the Stadium Operations Team to assist with aspects of both full stadium events, to include matches, as well as private events held in the various spaces throughout the stadium.
  • Pay starts at $16.00 per hour.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure Children’s Mercy Park and Three Points Rooftop Bar, and associated events, are operating in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Sporting Kansas City.
  • Execute the vision of Stadium Operations and Argyle Events leadership by setting, striking, and storing equipment and supplies including but not limited to tables, chairs, staging, signage, and stanchion.
  • Assist Stadium & Facility Operations with daily stadium tasks and facility checks with a focus on small details to ensure a pristine presentation of the facility.
  • Be available for at least two-thirds of Sporting Kansas City home games, as well as public non-soccer ticketed events.
  • Be available for at least half of the non-match day/ticketed event related shifts per month.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Match Day Responsibilities
  • Assist with setting critical match day items such as displaying supporter banners, gate and room set-ups, facilitating signage distribution, and ensuring league required equipment is set.
  • Facilitate the activations, including set-up, in both Mazuma Plaza and Budweiser Brew House.
  • Assist with acting as Photo Marshals when assigned – coordinating sideline photo positioning.
  • Facilitate post-game confetti launches and other club win rituals as instructed by management.
  • Ensure all equipment and gear is properly stored and inventoried post-match.
  • Act as representatives of Sporting Kansas City at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
  • Must be able to use basic equipment such has hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and other operational equipment.
  • Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write the English language.
