Title: Applied Performance Nutritionist/Dietician
Department: Female Health and Performance Innovation (FHAPI)
Reports to: Director of Female Health and Performance Innovation 
Location: Various locations, including remote option

About the role: 
The successful applicant will report to the Director of Female Health and Performance Innovation to execute and assist on the delivery of female performance and health nutrition content across the program. They will also play a key role in guiding research innovation that will form a fundamental part of the program. The role will involve extensive collaboration and communication across multiple stakeholders and multidisciplinary team members.

Position Summary: The Research Scientist (Performance Nutrition) will:
  • Lead on the development of optimal female health and performance nutrition support.
  • Support, innovate and work collaboratively with the FHAPI team to continually evolve understanding to best support female athletes
  • Collaborate to define research questions, research design and management of data collection.
  • Provide hands on support for the execution of research and data collection.
  • Lead on the critical review of literature around health and performance nutrition on an ongoing basis and work with the FHAPI team to translate this to educational content where appropriate to the lay community. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
●        Cutting edge, forward thinking, and a team player.
●        Integrate with the research science team to create evidence-based educational resources and a hub (app and web-based) where research can be available globally in an accessible format.
●        Collaborate with the FHAPI team to establish and define pertinent research questions. 
●        Collaborate with the research team supporting data collection and contributing to data analysis. 
●        Contribute to the writing of peer-reviewed scientific content for the education hub, and other targeted groups.
●        Support the product and development team with educational content , including the best format/mode for that.  Develop content for dissemination to targeted groups, and for education delivery
●        Work with the ‘educators’ and athletes to deliver education around all aspects of female health to athletes and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
●        Work collaboratively across the whole FHAPI team to develop best practices to continually evolve understanding about how to support female athletes.
●        Mentor PhD students, undergraduate student volunteers, and interns. 
●        Represent the team by presenting at conferences and relevant events
●        Attend and assist with workshops, in-service meetings, professional development courses/workshops and other development opportunities. 
●        Some travel required. 
●        Perform other duties as assigned.

You will possess:
●        A minimum of an MSc in Dietetics/Sports Nutrition/Physiology, or a related subject. 
●        A PhD in Nutrition/Exercise/Sports Science/Physiology or a related-field is preferred.
●        Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of Sports Nutrition/Performance/Physiology (research and/or applied).
●        Extensive experience of working with female athletes, and an understanding of female physiology.
●        Evidence of research experience. 
●        Have a passion for innovation and the growth of women’s sport and are excited about the potential of using cutting edge science to help thousands of female athletes. 
●        Enthusiastic and energetic team player, with experience of working as part of a Multidisciplinary team.
●        Good self-awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills.
●        A strong work ethic and friendly demeanor, able to work in a fast paced environment.
●        Possess exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/multi-task.
●        Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media with diverse audiences
