The North Carolina Football Club, owner and operator of two affiliated professional soccer teams: the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), is seeking a highly motivated, creative, passionate, and revenue driven individual to join the Corporate Partnerships team. As a Manager, Corporate Partnerships, you would be responsible for researching, identifying, soliciting, and closing a new business to meet sales objectives, as well as working with existing partners to cultivate and grow incremental business critical to the department’s sales goals. The individual who successfully meets the requirements below will work closely with key members of the partnership sales team as well as individuals across a variety of other departments within the club to execute on the strategic initiatives of each partnership.  
  
Compensation Structure: Base Salary + Commission 
  
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Research, prospect, and cultivate new business and corporate sponsor relationships on behalf of North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage. 
  • Solicit a wide range of new business through prospecting, networking, data capture, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Proactively generate sponsorship revenue to meet assigned goals through the sale and negotiation of kit partnerships, in-stadium and TV visible signage, digital and social media inventory, broadcast inventory, on-site activations, corporate ticket and hospitality packages, experiential marketing programs, community platforms, player appearances, retail promotional campaigns, and other sponsorship inventory as appropriate.  
  • Assist in maintaining and growing existing corporate sponsor relationships.  
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing strategically aligned corporate partner prospects.  
  • Monitor relevant market developments in the entertainment/sporting industry to stay on the front edge of opportunity and assist in growing the department’s efficiency.  
  • Analyze and understand current and potential customers’ objectives to develop tailored packages, capitalizing on the strengths that will meet or exceed those objectives.  
  • Create comprehensive proposals and presentations.  
  • Develop new and innovative sponsorship inventory and programming to assist revenue generation and meet corporate partner objectives.  
  • Work North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage home matches. 
  • Attend conferences, community and networking events for business development purposes. 
  • Meet and exceed all sales goals.  
  • Work with ticketing department to cross sell corporate accounts.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  
  
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sport management, business, entrepreneurship, sales or a related field.  
  •  Minimum of 4+ years of corporate sponsorship sales experience, within the sports industry preferred.  
  • A proven track record of sales success and meeting assigned goals.  
  • Experience in business-to-business sales, creating proposals and presentations.  
  • Self-starter that can steadily pursue and close sales in a team environment.  
  • Excellent relationship building, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.  
  • Superior attention to detail and customer service with a client's first approach.  
  •  Must be able to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.  
  • Must have confidence to engage and build trust with key stakeholders and C-level decision makers from local, regional and national brands. 
  • Must be a creative thinker and be solution oriented to meet the demands of the prospect with the goal of closing the sale 
  •  Must be a team player with a positive attitude and someone who embraces a challenge.  
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).  
  • Knowledge and passion for soccer a plus.
