Hartford Athletic is Connecticut’s professional soccer team competing in the USL Championship, and our mission is to make our community the best place to live, work, and play.
 
Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer role reports to the SVP, Marketing and Communications and is responsible for creative direction and execution of all visual elements of the Club's and Green and Blue Foundation’s brand identity. The position will include graphic design for all sales & marketing materials, digital content, merchandise and foundation events and activation. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of soccer and the ability to produce creative and innovative work that drives brand engagement.

Salary: $50,000

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Content & Social Media: 
    • Design and produce creative graphics and animations for digital and social content 
    • Provide design direction for creative executions 
  • Sales & Marketing 
    • Graphic executions for Social, Web and Print
    • Sales, promotion, and presentation materials 
    • Retail marketing and point-of-purchase design 
    • Communication and collateral materials 
  • Events/Signage
    • Design and coordinate production of banners, large format signage, and other branded activation materials
  • Brand Development 
    • Assist with development and execution of Club's brand identity 
    • Assist with graphic standards and brand guidelines 
  • Assist with other duties as necessary

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years graphic design experience
  • Knowledge of graphic production and technology.
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, AfterEffects and Lightroom
  • Photography, video capture, and editing skills preferred.
  • Animation skills preferred but not required
  • Strong organization, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Creative thinker with a desire and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making skills.
