Forward Madison FC is seeking an intern to assist the Director of Corporate Partnerships in building and maintaining relationships with the team’s various sponsors and community partners. The position will report to the Director of Corporate Partnerships to support the organization in maximizing revenue from corporate partners via sponsorship programs. The candidate will help with multiple facets of the team’s Corporate Partnerships efforts, including 2024 season execution and recaps, 2025 sales development, and overarching department support.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage partnership execution and fulfillment, including gameday activations, capturing proof of performance, and partner asset management for the remainder of the 2024 season, ending approximately early November.
  • Support the Director of Corporate Partnerships in creating current partnership recap, renewal, and new business presentations, including proof-of-performance collection, metric measurement, and new concept ideation.
  • Conduct relevant industry and partner research to inform the organization of best practices, generate leads, and grow revenue.
  • Assist in sustaining positive relationships with all customers and important industry leaders.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing partnership-based events.
  • Assist in managing and scheduling player appearances in a partnership capacity.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Partnerships and VP of Corporate Partnerships.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage positive relationships with corporate partners.
  • Experience in or willingness to learn basic graphic design using Canva and Photoshop.
  • Experience in brand marketing, corporate partnerships, and/or community outreach.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a self-directed, fluid, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate within and across departments.

Requirements:

  • All interns are expected to work every home game, playoff game, and special events held at Breese Stevens Field including concerts that utilize our organization’s ticketing system, and other partnership-centric events at other locations as determined by the Director of Corporate Partnerships.
  • All Interns will be required to participate in weekly sports management workshops.
  • Accept and abide by all terms of the Intern Code of Conduct. 

  • Accept and abide by all terms of the Forward Madison FC Intern Handbook and Intern Confidentiality agreement (provided during onboarding).

All interns will receive a compensation stipend.
