Job Overview
The Equipment Intern will be responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager with all aspects of equipment operations to support the Technical Staff in all phases of the game during competitions for Rhode Island FC, a men’s pro soccer club playing in the USL Championship.
**This position is for a seasonal internship, the projected start date is Jan 15, 2025**
Educational Experience
- Working towards a four (4) year college/university bachelor’s degree or higher
- Internship must be for college credit.
Work Experiences
- Preferred Proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of current technologies
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with naming & numbering player kits.
- Assist with washing practice & match uniforms.
- Assist with equipment preparation for game days.
- Assist with setting up locker rooms.
- Assist with organizing the storage room.
- Learn how to inventory practice gear, uniforms, & equipment.
- Assist with daily training equipment preparations and clean up.
- Notify & address player or staff requests for equipment, supplies or facility needs/issues.
- Assist with building soccer goals, shelving units, replacing nets, & any other duties that are deemed necessary.
- Others duties assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift. Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
