Join our diverse and growing Accounting & Finance team at PrizePicks. This role reports to the Accounting Senior Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA, with potential for flexible work arrangements.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare recurring & non-recurring journal entries
  • Enhance the company's balance sheet reconciliations and related support
  • Review deferred expense and income items, e.g. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules and prepare related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review AP Aging reconciliation, monitor unpaid and missing items
  • Collaborate with external accountants on audits and tax preparation
  • Recommend quick win process/procedural changes and controls with high cost-benefit
  • Identify process improvements and risk areas
  • Contribute to special projects as needed

What you have: 

  • 2-3 years of audit or public accounting experience (essential)
  • Additional 1+ years of relevant work experience in technology (e.g., e-commerce, software, internet gaming) is beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Progress toward CPA designation if degree is not in accounting
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with data-rich business intelligence environments
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with mid-market ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) is a plus
