SPORTS PODCAST PRODUCER: JOB DESCRIPTION
The Transaction Report is currently seeking a Producer to help us lead our team and evolve our content into the number business of sports program. 

You have a passion for all kinds of sports topics and can help us achieve the next creative evolution of podcasts for an audience that is heavily catering to corporate sponsors of professional and collegiate sports. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, expertise working with talent and a track record of producing and editing engaging audio programs.

You must be confident overseeing multiple projects on multiple schedules all the way from pre-production through final deliverable. You’ll coordinate logistics and schedules and work with audio engineers to ensure the smooth operation of the productions. You will lead the outreach to program guests who range from top sports agents to investment bankers, brand executives to sports economists, front office decision makers to world-renowned athletes.

You’ll work closely with our team of editors and writers from the sports desk and video/audio department.

Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast paced breaking news environment.

This is a full-time role averaging 40-50 hours per week.

Important Note:  The entire SportsBiz team, parent company for The Transaction Report,  is working for both stock options and cash payments in the form of routine stipends. SportsBiz has attracted a reputable group of investors including high net worth individuals, angel investors, and family offices. Full salaries, however, will be paid only upon the company’s completing its fundraising efforts anticipated in Q4/Q1

Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee a minimum of one weekly podcast from pre-production, booking, recording, editing through final deliverables including pitching to journalists breaking news stories on an exclusive and non-exclusive basis.
  • Review cuts; supply and/or integrate notes through all rounds of production.
  • Edit cuts, mix music
  • Develop an editorial calendar and schedule and smooth logistical operation.
  • Arrange interviews and oversee recording sessions, sometimes via remote connections
  • Turn around mixes on tight deadlines on occasion when news breaks

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of audio production experience working on non-fiction/factual audio in radio, podcasting or equivalent.
  • Strong writing, audio editing and story skills
  • Deep understanding of sports.
  • Demonstrated experience producing compelling programs under tight deadline constraints
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and collaboration skills
  • Ability to keep cool under pressure
Remuneration
  • Stock options
  • $50,000-$65,000
