The HVAC Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of HVAC technicians that oversees preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on HVAC systems. Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures all HVAC work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair of HVAC systems across 400+ acre campus
• Supervise, train, and evaluate HVAC technicians
• Oversee the installation of HVAC systems and components
• Ensure routine maintenance and repair work is performed effectively
• Diagnose complex HVAC issues and implement appropriate solutions
• Conduct inspections to ensure HVAC systems meet regulatory requirements
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical HVAC malfunctions making the necessary repairs, replacements, or installations of related equipment
• Assure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines
• Monitor and manage department budgets, expenses, and resources
• Implement quality control measure to maintain high service standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors and vendors
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
• Carry radio/pager/cell phone as required for on call maintenance
• Report to the Director of Maintenance and/or Maintenance Manager  any unusual occurrence and/or damage promptly
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• EPA 608 Certification
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC systems preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years of HVAC experience
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Efficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certifications
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
• Capacity to work in confined spaces and heights
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays if needed
• Exposure to hazardous materials
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
• This role is considered essential and may be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures in order to meet operational requirements
